About the Role

This position is responsible for supporting the Department Manager in achieving company goals and objectives.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support Farm Boy's vision of delivering the best fresh shopping experience.
  • Assist in developing the team by coaching, training, and recognizing employees while maintaining confidentiality and trust.
  • Educate staff on product knowledge, corporate policies, and procedures, as well as Health and Safety protocols.
  • Oversee floor operations, including serving customers, merchandising, rotation, breaks, and general department cleanliness.
  • Support office management tasks, such as inventory, orders, invoices, scheduling, and payroll.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary education with an emphasis in business, plus 1-2 years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • A clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities when interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • The ability to learn manual and automated systems/tools.
  • Skill in working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and high performance.
  • A flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English is required; French is considered an asset.
