Job Title: Gravel Truck Driver

OPTIMA TRUCKING is seeking a skilled Gravel Truck Driver to join our team. As a Gravel Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting gravel and other materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • Criminal record check
  • Flexibility

  • Client focus
Work Environment:

The work environment will be dusty, at heights, and noisy. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
