Job Summary

OPTIMA TRUCKING is seeking a skilled Gravel Truck Driver to join our team. As a Gravel Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting gravel and other construction materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport gravel and other construction materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
Work Environment

The work environment will be dusty, at heights, and noisy.

Work Setting

The work setting will be various locations, and you will be willing to relocate.
