Operations Coordinator

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and tech-savy individual to join our team as an Operations Coordinator.
**The Role**:
The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for efficiently scheduling, dispatching and coordinating trucks to service our customers while also performing administrative tasks required in ensuring smooth flow of our operations. In this role, you will need to be a dynamic team player who can plan, coordinate, and adapt quickly to changing priorities. You’ll have the visibility of the larger picture that will allow you to make meaningful decisions to support the company’s growth aspirations.
**What you’ll be doing**:
1. **Dispatching**: Efficiently plan, assign and dispatch trucks to meet the orders of our customers taking into consideration distance, truck capacity, and specific job requirements.
2. **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of jobs, including entering job details, customer information, material quantities into the company’s database.
3. **Communication & Driver Support**:Communicate effectively with drivers to provide clear instructions of the job and assisting with any logístical challenges they might face.
4. **Monitoring fleet**:Use real-time GPS tracking data to track progress of drivers, identify potential delays, and make proactive adjustments to maintain schedules.
5. **Reporting**: Generate reports related to dispatching activities and driver performance for management review as required.
6. **Problem-Solving**:Address any issues that may arise during transportation, such as delays, accidents, or breakdowns, and develop solutions.
7. **Continuous Improvement**: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate suggestions to enhance overall operational effectiveness
**Who we’re looking for**:
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a technology-driven environment is preferred.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear communication with drivers, customers, and team members.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
