Job Title: Mechanical Hydraulic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled maintenance mechanic with expertise in hydraulic systems to join our team at Polycon Industries. As a Mechanical Hydraulic Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized mechanical breakdown support to our injection moulding and compression presses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan assigned work orders to ensure optimal solutions for our customers.
  • Direct labour to complete tasks and ensure timely completion of reports and documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement meetings and technical analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead projects as required and facilitate capital projects to improve our manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain machine open issues document and follow up on issues to determine and implement root cause solutions.
Requirements:
  • Licensed millwright 443A, an asset.
  • Applicable hydraulics courses or mechanical engineering degree required.
  • Excellent hydraulic design and troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong leadership abilities to direct and motivate employees and contractors.
  • Some electrical experience an asset.
  • Must be safety conscious and reliable.
