Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled maintenance professional with expertise in mechanical breakdown support to join our team at CB Canada. As a Mechanical Hydraulic Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance Coordination:
    • Plan and coordinate assigned work orders to ensure timely completion
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve maintenance issues
    • Direct labor to complete tasks and ensure adherence to safety protocols
    • Prepare and submit reports and documentation as required
  2. Continuous Improvement & Capital Projects:
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and productivity
    • Contribute expertise to technical analysis and project development
    • Lead projects as required to drive business growth and improvement
    • Facilitate and lead capital projects to ensure successful implementation
  3. Breakdown Analysis:
    • Lead continuous improvement projects to identify and resolve root causes of equipment failures
    • Prepare and submit reports and documentation as required
    • Assign and follow through on work orders related to breakdown analysis
  4. Machine Open Issues:
    • Monitor and maintain machine open issues documentation to ensure accurate tracking
    • Follow up on issues, assign target dates, and complete tasks to resolve open issues
    • Determine and implement root cause solutions to machine open issues
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  1. Licensed millwright 443A, an asset
  2. Applicable hydraulics courses / experience or mechanical engineering degree required
  3. Excellent hydraulic design and troubleshooting experience
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Strong project management skills
  6. Basic Computer Skills – Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
  7. Strong organizational skills
  8. Excellent mechanical aptitude
  9. Strong leadership abilities, able to direct and motivate employees and contractors
  10. Some electrical experience an asset
  11. Must be safety conscious and reliable
