Job Title: Estate Manager, Consumer Insolvency

We are seeking a highly skilled Estate Manager to join our Consumer Insolvency team. As an Estate Manager, you will play a critical role in assisting Canadians with navigating and overcoming financial challenges and achieving financial freedom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.
  • Conduct data analysis and review of financial records to identify areas of improvement and optimize outcomes.
  • Administer formal insolvency appointments, including bankruptcies and proposals, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential referral sources, including credit counsellors, debt counsellors, lawyers, and accountants.
  • Prepare and review all relevant BIA documentation, including Statements of Affairs, 170 Reports, Court Orders, and Affidavits.
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Maintain high-quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues or key risks relevant to the debtor.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary, to support team members and clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset.
  • Completion of the Insolvency Administration course and/or BIA Insolvency Counselor course.
  • Working towards, or willingness to work towards, a CIRP designation is considered an asset.
  • 4 to 5 years of insolvency experience; professional services experience outside of insolvency will also be considered.
  • Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
