Job Details

We are seeking an Estate Manager to join our Consumer Insolvency team. As a trusted advisor, you will help individuals recover from financial distress and regain control of their finances.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services
  • Conduct data analysis and review financial records to identify areas for improvement
  • Administer formal insolvency appointments, including bankruptcies and proposals
  • Develop relationships with referral sources, such as credit counsellors and lawyers
  • Prepare and review BIA documentation, including Statements of Affairs and Court Orders
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors and ensure their needs are met
  • Maintain high-quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate and address issues or key risks relevant to the debtor
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field (considered an asset)
  • Completion of the Insolvency Administration course and/or BIA Insolvency Counselor course
  • Working towards, or willingness to work towards, a CIRP designation (considered an asset)
  • 4-5 years of insolvency experience; professional services experience outside of insolvency will also be considered
  • Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
