Job Overview

Paladin Security is seeking a skilled Protective Services Officer to join our team at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of security awareness and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Protective Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital. You will conduct regular patrols of the premises, respond to emergencies, and enforce hospital policies and procedures. You will also be required to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the hospital premises
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
  • Enforce hospital policies and procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 6 months of healthcare security experience and a valid Ontario Security License. You must also be able to complete extensive patrols, sit/stand for up to 12 hours per shift, and work alone with minimal supervision. Additionally, you must have excellent communication and de-escalation skills, as well as the ability to think quickly on your feet and defuse difficult situations.
