We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at Dentalcorp. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective compliance programs to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance matters.
- Identify and report potential compliance risks and issues.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and ensure our organization's compliance.
Requirements
- Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, with a university degree in law (LLB or JD) and an L1 License to practice law in Ontario.
- 2+ years' experience as a Lawyer in a regulatory body, multi-location corporation, and the healthcare industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and time management skills.
- Early adopter of legal technology who is up to date with benefits of using AI.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, meet legally mandated timelines, and handle multiple demands simultaneously.
- Creative problem solver.
- Excellent analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with excellent judgment.
- A team-player who is comfortable and effective in an environment where there are varied stakeholders asking for assistance.
- Bilingual French/English is an asset.
