About the Role

The Insurance Lending Sales Director will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals in the insurance lending market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, insurance industry knowledge, and a proven track record of driving sales and persistency goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Account Management
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key distribution partners to drive sales and persistency goals.
    • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Sales Team Leadership
    • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales and persistency goals.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Collect and analyze market intelligence to inform sales strategies and drive revenue growth.
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for product development and marketing strategy.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Identify and report potential compliance risk issues to senior management.
    • Ensure that all sales activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Industry Expertise
    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of insurance industry trends, products, and regulatory requirements.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and emerging trends.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Post-secondary education.
  • Experience
    • 10+ years of face-to-face sales experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
    • 5+ years of sales management, coaching, and leadership experience.
  • Skills
    • Deep understanding of insurance lending products and life insurance.
    • Established network in the financial services industry.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid understanding of strategic account management principles.
    • Extensive knowledge of insurance industry and insurance-related products, financial and estate planning, and insurance distribution channels.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial planning tools.
    • Excellent understanding of regulatory and compliance issues.
