Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Retail Procurement Specialist to join our team at CIRCLE K. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, negotiating prices and credit terms, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of merchandise.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers to maximize value for CIRCLE K.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our retail outlets, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and inventory is managed efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, including store managers and district managers.
  • Review requirements of our retail business and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring that it meets our quality and pricing standards.
  • Supervise the work of other buyers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or supply chain management.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in retail procurement or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate prices and credit terms.
  • Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of pressure. They will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and quality.
