About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at ArcelorMittal Long Products. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for generating and issuing purchase orders, maintaining purchasing records, and ensuring compliance with our procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and issue purchase orders and maintain purchasing records;
  • Check vendor pricing to ensure no unauthorized price increases;
  • Process all requisitions and issue purchase orders;
  • Expedite deliveries where required;
  • Resolve problem invoices and documentation within SAP to ensure prompt handling of all A/P;
  • Participate and lead the procurement part for the value plan related to contractor management;
  • Lead the RFQ process according to the technical scope;
  • Review the contract and support initiatives for savings;
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the operation;
  • Lead the process for qualification of suppliers to the health and safety platform;
  • Ensure the most economical supply is purchased;
  • Seek new supply/vendors/products;
  • Monitor spend to help maintain budget.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant field;
  • At least 4 to 8 years' experience in a comparable position;
  • Responsive with a sense of urgency;
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Good knowledge of various IT tools, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and SAP;
  • Make health and safety a daily priority.
