About the Role

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Tenant Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our housing support team, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to tenants to achieve and sustain successful tenancies within an assigned portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide community development activities, tenant case management, and resources to support tenants in achieving their goals and maintaining successful tenancies.
  • Develop and implement tenant programs and support networks to improve the effectiveness of physical, emotional, and mental support services to tenants and vulnerable applicants.
  • Work closely with tenants, community groups, and government agencies to provide support and resources to meet the needs of tenants.
  • Conduct needs assessments, case management, and provide supportive counseling to tenants.
  • Utilize and coordinate community and government-based resources and programs to provide support for a variety of client needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate information to clients, team, and all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads and manage conflicting deadlines.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in the social sciences field such as Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Ecology, etc.
  • Experience in a social services environment, including conducting needs assessments, case management, and providing supportive counseling.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Experience utilizing and coordinating community and government-based resources and programs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
