Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team at North Central Co-op. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing a wide variety of baked goods, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to customers in the department
  • Prepare a wide variety of baked goods using specific guidelines and recipes
  • Ensure consistency of all products being baked and maintain high-quality standards
  • Ability to follow production planners and work with the Manager to project daily requirements while managing inventory and shrink
  • Keep cooler and freezers organized and have a good understanding of stock levels
  • Clean the bakery in adherence to all food safety guidelines and regulations
  • Filling out temperature and sanitation logs

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (Red seal certificate preferred)
  • Previous experience as a retail Baker or in a related field
  • Previous cake decorating experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional math skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and stand for long periods of time
