About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to join our Industrial and Mining team in Montreal, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to identify project requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality work.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in mechanical engineering and industrial projects.
  • Professional certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Membership in a professional engineering association, such as the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, and API 650.
  • Experience with project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
