Job Title: Short Haul Truck Driver

Alberta Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Short Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel for extended periods
  • Willing to travel overnight
Working Conditions:

Education and Experience:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
