Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Riteway Truck Wash Ltd. is seeking a skilled and reliable Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safely: Operate a commercial vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods at designated locations, ensuring accurate and efficient cargo handling.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct regular pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain regular communication with dispatch and other team members to ensure smooth logistics and timely delivery.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Valid Passport: Required for cross-border travel.
  • Driver's Validity Licence Check: Must have a valid driver's license.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically Demanding: This role requires regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Sitting: Prolonged sitting during long hauls.
Personal Suitability:
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routes.
  • Judgement: Good decision-making skills to ensure safe and efficient operations.
