Dental Clinic Front Desk Coordinator

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services at Vancouver Island University is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to support the dental clinic. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for receiving inquiries from clients and medical/dental offices, as well as supporting students in the dental hygiene and dental assisting program.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse range of clients, including students and community members.
- Manage sensitive health information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Utilize electronic dental charting systems and other software to maintain accurate records and facilitate referrals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, faculty, and students to ensure seamless access to dental services.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory for designated client service areas.
- Update website content, create marketing materials, and provide clerical support as needed.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related role, preferably in a dental clinic setting.
- Proficiency in electronic dental charting systems, MS Teams, and other relevant software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
