Water and Wastewater Operations Specialist

Ombudsman Ontario is seeking a skilled Water and Wastewater Operations professional to join our team. As a trusted partner to municipalities and communities across Ontario, we provide total solutions in water and wastewater services.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities within the Midwest Region.
- Use skills to inspect, operate, and monitor facilities processes and equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, take samples, interpret results, and make process control adjustments to resolve operating issues.
- Liaise with coworkers, clients, suppliers, and keep accurate logs and write reports.
- OIT to Class IV certificate or license: Water Treatment, Water Distribution and Supply, Wastewater Treatment/Collection, Limited Surface Water, and Limited Groundwater.
- A minimum Operator-in-Training (OIT) as specified in O.Reg. 128/04 of the Safe Drinking Water Act and O.Reg. 129/04 of the Ontario Water Resources Act.
- Valid class G driver's license.
- Ability to respond to on-call within a reasonable period of time.
