About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Operator to join our team at Ombudsman Ontario. As a trusted partner to municipalities and communities across Ontario, we provide total solutions in water and wastewater services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities within the Midwest Region.
  • Use skills to inspect, operate, and monitor facilities processes and equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, take samples, interpret results, and make process control adjustments to resolve operating issues.
  • Liaise with coworkers, clients, suppliers, and keep accurate logs and write reports.
Requirements
  • OIT to Class IV certificate or license: Water Treatment, Water Distribution and Supply, Wastewater Treatment/Collection, Limited Surface Water, and Limited Groundwater.
  • A minimum Operator-in-Training (OIT) as specified in O.Reg. 128/04 of the Safe Drinking Water Act and O.Reg. 129/04 of the Ontario Water Resources Act.
  • Valid class G driver's license.
  • Ability to respond to on-call within a reasonable period of time.
