GIS Data Solutions Specialist

We are seeking a skilled GIS Data Solutions specialist and intermediate full stack developer to join our team at fliteX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating compelling visualizations for UI/UX using React/Angular frameworks and Cesium JS.
Key Responsibilities:- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and PostGIS for managing geo-spatial data projects
- Lead the development of Solution Designs for various spatial data and application/data integration projects
- Integrate a multitude of API calls into back-end computations
- Develop dynamic visualizations for UI/UX using React/Angular frameworks and CesiumJS
- Provide project and technical support to software developers
- Review technical work against solution designs and initiate necessary changes to maintain high-quality standards
- Coach and mentor team members
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, with specific academic training in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in spatial data analysis, spatial data management, and/or GIS software and services development
- Proficiency in the front-end with Angular and React
- Familiarity with current GIS technologies and formats including QGIS, GeoJSON, PostGIS, raster & vector tiles, etc.
- Experience with API integration and application integration
- Strong knowledge of web service technologies
- Proficiency in solution design and/or architecture, including database design, with experience in master data management and/or enterprise data warehouse/data lake design being a plus
- Experience in designing and developing Java or Python applications and scripts to build reusable components, including transformers or connectors
- Proficiency in database technologies such as PostgreSQL and PostGIS, PG Routing extensions
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services design and management, preferably with AWS
- Proficiency with Java, JDBC, Apache Camel, Javascript, Typescript, Python, and Markdown
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and DevOps practices
- Experience using Agile and/or Lean methodologies to deliver projects and solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
