Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project and technical support to software developers
  • Review technical work against solution designs and initiate necessary changes to maintain high-quality standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, with specific academic training in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in spatial data analysis, spatial data management, and/or GIS software and services development
  • Proficiency in the front-end with Angular and React
  • Familiarity with current GIS technologies and formats including QGIS, GeoJSON, PostGIS, raster & vector tiles, etc.
  • Experience with API integration and application integration
  • Strong knowledge of web service technologies
  • Proficiency in solution design and/or architecture, including database design, with experience in master data management and/or enterprise data warehouse/data lake design being a plus
  • Experience in designing and developing Java or Python applications and scripts to build reusable components, including transformers or connectors
  • Proficiency in database technologies such as PostgreSQL and PostGIS, PG Routing extensions
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services design and management, preferably with AWS
  • Proficiency with Java, JDBC, Apache Camel, Javascript, Typescript, Python, and Markdown
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and DevOps practices
  • Experience using Agile and/or Lean methodologies to deliver projects and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
