Leasing and Sales Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Leasing Administrator plays a crucial role in the success of our apartment community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for showing and leasing apartment suites to prospective residents, qualifying applicants, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Encourage appointments or viewings with prospective residents, qualifying them to determine their needs and suitability as candidates.
- Tour prospective residents through available suites, answering phone calls and providing leasing information as dictated by policy/procedure.
- Shop competition through phone calls and site market surveys, assisting with the composition of newspaper advertisements.
- Compile and update listings of available rental units, preparing and processing rental applications.
- Contact credit bureaus, previous landlords, and check employment history to assess credit worthiness of prospects.
- Follow up with new residents to ensure satisfaction with their suite and determine if they have further needs.
- Utilize our computerized property management system to record transactions and run various operating reports.
Requirements:
- Exceptional customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills, and experience in sales.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong command of MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- A self-starter with high initiative, creativity, and flexibility, with experience with leasing apartments or selling condominiums an asset.
