Retirement Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in retirement facilities in the Greater Sudbury area.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements.
- Interpret and adhere to company policies, procedures, and philosophies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff.
- Manage medications as prescribed, monitor changes in condition, and report them to the Director of Health and Wellness.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and personnel, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in orientation and in-service programs, and contribute to standing committees as assigned by the Director of Health and Wellness.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Liaise with family members, providing support and resources as needed, and reporting concerns to the Director of Health and Wellness and other staff.
- Report unusual occurrences, safety hazards, or illness or problems with clients to the Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- CNO Renewal Receipt for the current year.
- Photo ID.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check in ON (within 6 months).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times.
- Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
- Compliance with RhynoCare Healthcare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
