Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse - Retirement Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a retirement facility setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and adhere to company policies, procedures, practices, and philosophies.
  • Manage medications as prescribed and observe changes in condition, reporting them to the Director of Health and Wellness.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents and personnel.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service programs and on standing committees as assigned by the Director of Health and Wellness.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
  • Liaise with family members when required and act as a resource for questions, concerns regarding practices or related healthcare issues.
  • Report unusual occurrences, safety hazards, or illness or problems with clients to the Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • CNO Renewal Receipt for the current year.
  • Photo ID.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and negative TB skin test within one year as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check in ON (within 6 months).
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible shift times.
  • Must be reliable to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
