Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to deliver excellent care and ensure resident safety.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, including comprehensive orientations to our services.
- Manage resident transfers and discharges efficiently and safely.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of medications and narcotics, adhering to established protocols.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet resident needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Long Term Care Act and the Health Disciplines Act.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests, and Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
