Elevator & Lift Compliance Specialist (Technical Inspector)

We are seeking a highly skilled Elevator & Lift Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing the Elevator and Lifts Act and Regulations across the province.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct specialized technical inspections and investigations of accidents, incidents, and complaints
- Provide information, advice, and technical direction to stakeholders on applicable codes and standards
- Ensure compliance with legislation, including issuing summary offence tickets and initiating prosecution action
To be successful in this role, you must have a High School diploma and completion of a related trade or technical training in design, construction, maintenance, and inspection of elevating devices, plus 7 years of related experience after course completion.
- Class A Elevator Certificate of Competency
- Working knowledge of CSA, ASME, and ASTM Codes and Standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience interpreting regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines
This is a permanent position offering a salary range of $3,066.18 - $3,561.47 bi-weekly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
Work EnvironmentThis role offers flexible work arrangements, allowing you to work from any provincial office located in Nova Scotia.
