Job Summary:
A Support Specialist is required to provide supportive services to children, youth, and/or adults living in our Specialized Supportive Housing in Quesnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish healthy relationships with individuals who have experienced trauma.

The successful applicant will promote a positive and supportive environment that encourages personal growth, socialization, and skill development. They will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver trauma-informed care and support the achievement of educational, social, and recreational goals.

We are seeking a compassionate and patient individual who is able to set and maintain healthy boundaries while providing emotional support and guidance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges and possess a certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive services to children, youth, and/or adults living in our Specialized Supportive Housing
- Establish and maintain healthy relationships with individuals who have experienced trauma
- Promote a positive and supportive environment that encourages personal growth, socialization, and skill development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver trauma-informed care and support the achievement of educational, social, and recreational goals

Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or a related discipline
- 1-2 years' experience in social services preferred
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges an asset
- Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license
- Knowledge of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions beneficial
