Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Health and Well-being

Job Summary:

The University of Ottawa invites applications for a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Health and Well-being. The successful candidate will be appointed as a tenure-track professor at the Associate or Full Professor level and will be expected to establish a research program that focuses on meaningful collaboration with Indigenous communities to promote health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a research program that focuses on Indigenous health and well-being, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with Indigenous communities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research agenda that aligns with the University of Ottawa's research priorities.
  • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the area of Indigenous health and well-being.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of Indigenous health and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of the University of Ottawa's research strategy and priorities.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Established research record in the area of Indigenous health and well-being.
  • Experience in supervising graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
