Accounting Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at McCay Duff LLP. As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will play a key role in providing exceptional accounting services and leading our team to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor staff accountants on assigned engagements, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, client staff, and our team, fostering strong relationships and communication.
  • Assume responsibility for complex engagements, overseeing the work of staff accountants and assistants, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement assurance plans and budgets, monitoring progress and reporting to engagement supervisors, managers, or partners.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to staff accountants, supporting their career development and growth.
  • Contribute to business development activities, identifying opportunities with current clients and collaborating with the firm to drive growth.
  • Participate in internal committees or project teams, sharing expertise and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or working towards it.
  • Minimum two years' public accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong technical experience, with expertise in compilations, review audits, corporate and personal income tax.
  • Passion for public accounting and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
