We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at McCay Duff LLP. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in leading and supervising staff accountants on assigned engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and lead staff accountants on assigned engagements, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Client Liaison: Act as a liaison between clients, client staff, and McCay Duff staff, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
- Engagement Management: Assume responsibility for complex engagements with minimal direct supervision from the engagement supervisor, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Assurance Planning: Develop assurance plans and budgets, monitoring progress and reporting to the engagement supervisor, manager, or partner.
- Staff Development: Provide direction and motivation to staff accountants to support their career development, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Business Development: Assist the Firm with business development activities, identifying opportunities with current clients and contributing to the growth of the business.
- Committee Participation: Participate on internal committees or project teams, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Professional Designation: New team members must be working towards, or have, a professional accounting designation (CPA).
- Public Accounting Experience: A minimum of two years' public accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Communication and Analytical Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data.
- Technical Experience: Strong technical experience, with a broad range of skills and knowledge in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in all aspects of the accounting profession, including compilations, review audits, corporate and personal income tax.
- Passion and Enthusiasm: Passion and enthusiasm for working in public accounting, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
