Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and client-driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Staff Accountant. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with partners, managers, and other staff, and join an organization that values work/life balance and puts an emphasis on developing our people.

Responsibilities
  • Complete Notice to Reader engagements, corporate and personal income tax returns, and general accounting tasks.
  • Provide value-added services to our small to medium-sized clients.
  • Identify and resolve engagement issues.
  • Ensure that deadlines and related time budgets are met.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients, co-workers, and all levels of staff and management.
Requirements
  • Two plus years of progressive public accounting experience.
  • University or College Accounting Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
  • Computer skills including Caseware and Taxprep.
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment, including related deadlines, and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
