We are seeking an experienced NDT Supervisor to join our Quality Control team in Red Deer, Alberta. The successful candidate will supervise and control programs associated with the maintenance, calibration, and operation of NDT and measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance and technical issues of all tubular NDT equipment and stations.
  • Support production to achieve target production rates by ensuring equipment is configured for optimal performance.
  • Review system mechanical and ultrasonic set ups and assist UT operators in troubleshooting process upsets.
  • Ensure the safety of NDT personnel and that all equipment is utilized safely and in a workmanship-like manner.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance programs, including CAN/CSA ISO 9002 and API Q1.
  • Supervise the maintenance and calibration of NDT equipment and ensure test standards are available and properly machined.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide recommendations to the QA department regarding NDT equipment.
  • Provide guidance to mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel on changes, repairs, construction, and new equipment installation for NDT.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in the tubular manufacturing industry, preferably with direct knowledge of tubular manufacturing NDT practices.
  • Current Level II NDT Certification in UT, MT, and MFL, or equivalent.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, together with the ability to supervise NDT personnel.
  • Mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, and good hand-eye coordination.
