Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Consultant to join our team in Ingersoll. As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Actively approach and engage customers on the sales floor, offering assistance and guidance as a subject matter expert.
- Sales: Achieve assigned sales targets by effectively following sales and service standards.
- Product Knowledge: Provide accurate and detailed information about products, features, and services.
- Transaction Processing: Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Issue Resolution: Listen attentively to customer concerns and resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Store Maintenance: Participate in the setup and maintenance of visually appealing product displays and store layouts.
- Warehouse Support: Assist with packing and unpacking of warehouse shipments, as well as timely dispatch of customer orders, ensuring accurate fulfillment and exceptional service.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferable.
- Availability: Ability to work between 35-42 hours a week, including weekday shifts up to 8:30pm, and at least one weekend shift up to 6:30pm.
- Physical Demands: Ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance, climb ladders safely to access elevated areas when required for job tasks, and stand for extended periods, bend and move comfortably to perform job tasks.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse customers and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy in sales processing.
- Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills to efficiently handle tasks and navigate digital tools such as computers, POS systems, and scanners.
- Experience: Experience in sales, retail, or customer service is an asset.
