Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Engineering Projects Department at the Vancouver Airport Authority. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of construction projects, with a focus on airfield and apron facilities, lighting, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project requirements, scope, budget, and schedule
  • Prepare and deliver project implementation plans in collaboration with Airport Operations and Maintenance
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of Request for Proposal and Tender documents
  • Manage design teams to meet project outcomes while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Maintain and manage project budgets, including forecasting costs and risk management
  • Liaise with internal Airport Authority departments and external stakeholders throughout the projects
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years' experience managing construction projects in the design, construction, or consulting industry
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices and standards, particularly for heavy civil work
  • Strong project management, organization, and documentation abilities
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $91,587 to $119,696 (Intermediate) or $97,599 to $127,555 (Senior) per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week.
