Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, operating nuclear medicine equipment, and monitoring patients during procedures.
• Prepare, dispense, and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform routine quality control tests on imaging equipment, and monitor areas using appropriate detection devices.
• Dispose of radioactive substances and contaminated items by following established guidelines.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
• Current certification with CAMRT and eligible for membership with CAMRT and CAMRT-BC.
