We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team at Microtel Inn and suites Blackfalds. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate special events and ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs, and plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, and train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.
