About This Role:

IPG Photonics is seeking a Technical Lead - Software Quality Assurance to join our agile software development and testing team in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

This position involves leading a team of software testers in performing quality assurance testing on software and hardware modules.

You'll scale our software testing infrastructure and processes, investigate potential software issues, and develop strategies to improve testing processes and automated test systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a small software testing team
  2. Develop strategies to improve testing processes and automated test systems
  3. Collaborate with software development and applications teams
  4. Investigate potential software issues with support teams

Requirements:

  1. Excellent learning, communication, and teamwork abilities
  2. 5+ years of professional software QA testing experience
  3. 3+ years of experience leading software testing teams
  4. 3+ years of professional Python development experience
  5. Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycles and testing practices
  6. Industry experience with hardware testing is an asset

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
