Job Description

This role requires a strong technical background, accuracy in record-keeping, and a strong ability to organize and develop a Work Management System. The Chief Operating & Process Control Officer plans and controls production operations, leading high-priority and complex projects. This position oversees production processes, monitors day-to-day production, and improves department performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee production processes and monitor day-to-day production.
  • Improve department performance and liaise with other departments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop production SOPs and ensure compliance with GMP.
  • Troubleshoot process areas and identify production problems.
  • Develop plans to efficiently use materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Participate in the oversight and inspection of manufacturing equipment installation and testing.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of production tracking or quality control systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The employee must have post-secondary education in Engineering/Technology/Food Science or a related field. Experience in the food processing environment, preferably with a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in cross-functional teams, is required. Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory for this role.

Benefits

Our standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, but flexible hours are required to accommodate business needs. Most work is performed in an office environment, with some requirements to work in other areas of the facility as needed.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
