Counselling Therapist Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Counselling Therapist to join our team at Lifemark Health Group.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, consultation, and psych educational services to clients
  • Participate in regular team conferences and communicate effectively with staff, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to psychological case management, including initial assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning
  • Develop and implement effective therapy plans to support clients' progress and well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Provide orientation and mentoring to assist other team members in managing clients' psycho-social issues

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in counselling or clinical psychology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
  • 1 year of experience in a Return-to-Work setting
  • Professional registration with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists
  • Ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients in self-management
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Experience working with chronic pain and post-concussive symptoms is an asset
