The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta invites applications for a tenured Full Professor position in Robotics for Healthcare Applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced assistive robotic systems for surgery, therapy, or post-disability neuro-rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research and scholarship in areas related to medical robotics, including the development of advanced assistive robotic systems.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of robotics, computer engineering, and mechatronics.
- Collaborate with researchers at various centres of expertise at the University of Alberta, including Amii, iSMART, WCHRI, and others.
- Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary research projects and programs.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience in research and teaching in the areas of robotics, computer engineering, and mechatronics.
- Established record of service and leadership in research, teaching, and industry.
