About the Role

The Reserve Engineer (RE) is a critical member of our rapid-response field-operations team, responsible for providing top-notch customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our robots. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teammates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of our robot hardware to ensure efficient servicing and maintenance.
  • Communicate with teammates and clients to resolve hardware failures and complete field projects.
  • Ensure timely and safe resolution of hardware failures on our robots.
  • Assist with field operation projects and new robot deployments as needed.
  • Be dispatched to client sites to resolve hardware failures and complete tasks.
  • Reports to a Regional Project Manager for tasking and delegation.
Requirements
  • Excitement about robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with a willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with hardware assembly and disassembly.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and small electrical components.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Availability during standard business hours, with flexibility for on-call scheduling.
  • Comfortable speaking to clients from Fortune 100 & 500 companies.
  • Passion for providing great customer service.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience with robotics and computer hardware.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Military or first responder background.
  • Associate degree or higher.
