Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to provide input and support for the development of several new components to the Central Island Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program (CICAPP).
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing telepsychiatry outreach to underserved areas of Vancouver Island
- Consultation to the Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital
- Leading the development of a Mental Health Day Program for children
- Contributing to the Early Psychosis Intervention Program
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License - Provisional
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) eligibility
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also receive administrative support and office space for assessments.
