Job Title: Housing Grant and Funding Analyst

Job Summary:

Metro Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Housing Grant and Funding Analyst to support affordable housing development projects and strategic portfolio development. The successful candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, research, and data analysis, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Grant Writing and Research: Prepare grant proposals and applications, conduct research and data analysis to support grant writing, and identify external funding opportunities that align with project objectives.
  2. Cost Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost benefit analysis for funding strategies, present cost estimates, revenue projections, and return on investment analysis, and conduct projections.
  3. Grant Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on grant funded projects, ensure compliance with grant application requirements and objectives, compile key performance indicators, and provide reports on key performance indicators for funders.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts, provide information and assistance related to grant and funding proposals, and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or other discipline related to the work, supplemented by some experience with grant writing.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Considerable knowledge of standard statistical and analytical methodology, departmental functions, objectives, and procedures, grant and funding process, and technical writing related to the work.
  3. Ability: Ability to conduct research, analyze, and present information obtained in an effective manner, identify and define data requirements, gather, organize, analyze, and interpret data from a wide variety of sources, and formulate a variety of options.
