Job Title: Hotel Operations Manager

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Travelodge Bracebridge. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Staff: You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 staff members, including front desk clerks, housekeepers, and maintenance personnel. This will involve assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, and monitoring performance.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: You will need to create and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure that all areas of the hotel are running efficiently. This may include creating rotas for staff, setting targets and goals, and developing new processes to improve productivity.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: You will be required to prepare and submit regular reports to management on the performance of the hotel, including financial information, occupancy rates, and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Maintain Operation of Computer Systems: You will be responsible for maintaining the operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, including arranging repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Requisition Materials and Supplies: You will need to requisition materials and supplies as required, including linens, cleaning products, and other essential items.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions quickly. You will also need to be able to maintain accurate records and reports, and provide high-quality customer service to our guests.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is between $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits may include health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: You will need to have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • 1 Year to Less Than 2 Years of Experience: You will need to have at least 1 year but less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Or Equivalent Experience: Alternatively, you may have equivalent experience in a different industry or role.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires you to work in a fast-paced environment with extended periods of standing. You will also need to be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
