Tru by Hilton, a renowned hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a skilled Front Desk Agent for their location in Bracebridge, ON.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly professional and courteous individual to join our team as a Front Desk Agent. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, register them into the computer, and provide accurate and timely information and services.
  • Telephone and In-Person Inquiries: Respond promptly and professionally to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
  • Cash Handling: Accept payment for guests' accounts, maintain a house bank, and make deposits and reports as required.
  • Safety Deposit Boxes: Issue keys to and control entrance of safety deposit boxes, post miscellaneous charges as requested.
  • Problem-Solving: Promptly respond to and resolve guest complaints, answer telephone calls politely, courteously, and friendly.
  • Reservations and Check-Ins: Be thorough, accurate, and efficient in taking reservations, check-ins, and performing check-outs.
  • Luggage Assistance: Assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure from the hotel.
  • Local Knowledge: Be knowledgeable and helpful about the local area, the hotel, and its services.
  • Communication: Handle messages, wake-up calls, mail, and faxes properly, assist guests with laundry/dry cleaning needs, and report potential sales contacts to the sales department.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience working with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
  • Skills: Good communication skills, both verbal and written; basic computational ability; basic computer skills; extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services, and facilities; general knowledge of the city and its attractions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours; lift up to 15 lbs occasionally; manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment.
