Assistant Professor, Digital Pedology and Pedometrics

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our Department of Soil Science within the College of Agriculture and Bioresources at the University of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pedometrics and digital soil mapping, with a proven track record of research and teaching excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in pedometrics and digital soil mapping
  • Conduct research in pedometrics and digital soil mapping, geographic information systems (GIS), and digital agriculture
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to advance the department's research and teaching goals
  • Forge relationships with digital agriculture partners, including the Global Institute for Food Security and other University of Saskatchewan departments
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline, such as Soil Science or Pedology
  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience
  • Demonstrated ability to plan for complex research activities
  • Eligibility for membership in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists
