Environmental Operations Technician

Job Summary
GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Industrial Services Operator to join our team in Trail, BC. As an Industrial Services Operator, you will be responsible for transporting, removing, delivering, and collecting diverse liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a range of trucks and equipment, including vacuum trucks, box trucks, and chemical trucks, to perform tasks required by customers.
- Operate chemical cleaning equipment, such as pumps, heat exchangers, and circulation units, to perform tasks required by customers.
- Set up and control hoses attached to pumps to ensure the safe and effective pumping of water.
- Maintain and update driver's logbook daily.
- Ensure all equipment and tooling is cleaned and stored in appropriate units, cases, or containers before returning to the shop.
- Participate in job site preparation, including the rigging in/out of equipment.
Requirements
- Class 1 or 3 driver's license with an acceptable commercial driving abstract.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Flexibility to work after-hours for any call outs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
- Positive attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to GFL clients and customers.
- Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and effectively collaborate in a team environment.
