Job Title: Health Care Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home in Winnipeg.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to our residents, assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional and physical support to residents, including those with dementia and other cognitive impairments
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience
  • Participate in infection control and preventative maintenance programs, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Transport residents to and from activities, appointments, and other destinations
  • Document care delivery and resident progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
Requirements:
  • Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate or completed two years of accepted registered nursing education program
  • One year of previous experience as a Health Care Aide, preferably in a personal care home setting
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with residents, families, and staff
  • Physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position
